Swedish Delight

Written by David Kinch

Over the Christmas break my family and I spent some time in the Wairarapa which is a beautiful part of New Zealand. While up north I took the opportunity to drive to Palmerston North in the Manawatu and catch up with Alby Taylor and his new truck which he drives for Lindsay Taylor Transport LTD.
This R620 Scania is the first european truck to join the Lindsay Taylor fleet which contains Kenworth, Freighliner, Isuzu and Mitsubishi brands.
Stunning is the simpliest way to describe this Scania which has alot of eye catching Air Brush work that was applied by Mr Darryn Caufield who did a fantastic job and put alot of hours into getting it just right. The truck has a Scania opticruise GRS0905R overdrive 14 speed gearbox that accompanies a DC 16 08 Euro 4 engine and rides on Scania Diffs.

The unit is rated at fifty tonne with a five axle trailer setup and has Trailer and Decks built by Jackson Enterprises. The Curtains are made by Tauranga Canvas and the Signwritting on the Curtains done by Marty Signs. The Truck and Trailer are all Alloys. The cab is very comfortable and is fitted with an extra Air Conditioning unit.
Driver Alby Taylor will be running this Scania nationwide carting produce so keep your eyes peeled for this immaculate truck that is pure Swedish Delight.

I'd like to personally thank Lindsay and Alby Taylor for making the truck available for photos.
